Mrs. Barbara Ann “Bebo” Sprayberry Fennell

Mrs. Barbara Ann “Bebo” Sprayberry Fennell, age 81, of Aragon, and formerly of the Yorkville Community passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023.

She was born in Fulton County, GA on June 30, 1942, a daughter of the late William Ellis Sprayberry and Ruby Alma Henderson Sprayberry.

Barbara was a graduate of Villa Rica High School, class of 1960 and then went on to Carroll Tech where she received a Secretarial Science Degree in 1992 and Floyd College where she received an Associate Degree in Applied Science in 1993. During her working career, Barbara worked for Sewell Manufacturing, Big Buy Grocery, Arrow Manufacturing, Floyd College, Parkway Medical Center and retired from Floyd Medical Center in 2004.

Barbara enjoyed writing poetry, reading, singing, cooking, spending time with family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren, attending her beloved Springdale Baptist Church where she served as a Deacon’s wife for over 36 years, adopting her extra kids and grandkids, going off shopping, traveling to see family, watching some TV, going to family gatherings, but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Eugene Fennell on October 20, 2018; siblings, Arlon Sprayberry, Betty Ellis, Virginia Sprayberry, Trudy Sprayberry, Shirley Weaver, Ben Sprayberry, Terry Sprayberry, and Tony Sprayberry.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Fennell Holley and her husband, Jon; son Daniel Fennell; grandsons, Adam (Leslie) Holley and Jacob Holley; great-grandchildren, Tate Powell, Merritt Powell, and Silas Holley; numerous nieces and nephews and countless extra kids and grandkids. She dearly had a servant’s heart and loved people unconditionally and without measure!

Homegoing services will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 11:00 am at Springdale Baptist Church with Brother Bobby McDowell and Brother Sam Leggett officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Fennell will lie instate at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will include Danny Dooley, Jimmy Hannah, Steve Weaver, Steve Pullen, Arlon Sprayberry, and Wayne Fennell. Honorary pallbearers will include Adam Holley, Jacob Holley and Jon Holley.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Springdale Baptist Church.

The family has respectfully requested that flowers be omitted and memorial donations be made to the fund that has been set up at Truist Bank in memory of Mrs. Fennell.

Floyd Earl Anderson Jr.

Floyd Earl Anderson Jr., age 70, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Monday afternoon, January 19, 2026.

Mr. Anderson was born in Cedartown, Georgia, on December 27, 1955, a son of the late Floyd Anderson, Sr. and Dorothy Faye Milam Anderson.

He spent the greater part of his life in Rockmart and was of the Baptist faith. After 36 years of dedicated service, Mr. Anderson retired from Meggitt, where he was known for his strong work ethic and loyalty. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.  Above all, Mr. Anderson was a devoted family man who cherished time with those he loved. He had a deep love for music and found joy in playing the guitar, and in his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Anderson.

Mr. Anderson is survived by two sons, Jonathan (Cheri) Anderson, and Jesse (Jessica) Anderson; two sisters, Kathy (Larry) Grimes, and Vickie Polston; brother, Terry Shores. Eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Anderson will be held on Thursday afternoon, January 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Shores officiating.

Mr. Anderson’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Thursday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.
