Mrs. Betty Sue Woods Shedd, age 87 of Rockmart, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2022.
Mrs. Shedd was born July 14, 1935 in Piedmont, Alabama, daughter of the late Joseph Perry Woods and the late Ottis Farmer Woods.
She was a former employee of Integrated Products and was of the Baptist Faith.
Mrs. Shedd enjoyed fishing and reading and loved listening to music. But her greatest love was her grandchildren and her favorite pastime was spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Herman Shedd; and three brothers, Charles “Charlie” Woods, Melvin Jerry “Bill” Woods and Bobby Derrell Woods.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law, Joey and Shannon Shedd of Rockmart and Doye Wayne Langley of Rockmart; four grandchildren, Garrett Shedd, Avery Shedd, Logan Shedd and Katrina Littlefield; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shedd will be held Sunday, November 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Robinson and Rev. Kyle Tibbitts officiating. Interment service will follow in the Rockmart Memorial Gardens.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Johnny Woods, Cecil Bishop, Burlan Arnold, Lee Simpkins, Chuck Matthews and Garrett Shedd.
Honorary pallbearers will be Timothy Cochran, Jason Cochran, David Hendrix, Sonny Hendrix and Daniel Patterson.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
Freeman Harris Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral services for Mrs. Betty Sue Woods Shedd.
