Mrs. Beverly Cash Duke

Mrs. Beverly Cash Duke, age 85, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, in Cedartown.

Mrs. Duke was born in Cedartown on April 5, 1938, a daughter of the late Rev. Ivey Golden Cash and Edna Mae Dickerson Cash. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Mrs. Duke was a devoted wife and mother, including being a mother to a number of children she cared for as her own.

She loved to load up and go camping and was an excellent cook. Mrs. Duke greeted strangers as old friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Duke was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bruce Duke, a son, Scott Duke, great-grandson, Eli Duke, and a sister, Mary Elizabeth “Beth Cash Stone.

Mrs. Duke is survived by three daughters, Kay Duke, Cheryl Duke Chupp (Randall), and Pam Duke (Ricky) Bowers; son, Jeff Duke (Lisa); sister, Nell Haynes (Ken); seventeen grandchildren, Paige Wilkey. Scotty Duke, Matt Norton, Danielle Holcomb, Nathan Wilkey, Amber Fuqua, Hailey Wright, Holly Duke, Amanda Weaver, Jolie Walker, Casey Duke, Randy Chupp, Matthew Bowers, Drew Bowers, Cody Chupp,Cassie McDowell, and Trey Hughes. Thirty-three great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Duke will be Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church with Pastor Barry Snapp officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens. Mrs. Duke will lie in-state at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Mrs. Duke’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Wednesday evening, December 13, 2023, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will include Matt Norton, Nathan Wilkey, Casey Duke, Hayden Hughes, Logan Wilkey, Randy Chupp, Noah Hughes, Aden Wright. Honorary pallbearers will include Asher Wright, Scotty Duke, Avery Jenkins, Colby Fuqua, Chad Fuqua, Zachary Weaver, Zach Weaver, Cooper Shed, Lucas Wilkey, Caden Wilkey, and Trey Hughes.

Mrs. Carol Marie Binger

The thoughtful, loving, and generous Mrs. Carol Marie Binger, age 78, of Cave Spring, Georgia, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025. She was born in Buffalo, NY, but called Cave Spring her home for most of her life.

Always a bridge between family members and generations, and filled with unending love, Carol was the heart and glue for the Gardner family. Regardless of the large numbers of family members, every person received a birthday or anniversary card from Carol and every baby born was gifted with a hand-crafted blanket. Prioritizing annual week-long reunions since 1976, Carol insured that as many as possible of the 60 plus family members as attended.

Carol is survived by her siblings: Marcy (Kevin) Johnson, Rob (Michele) Gardner, Al (Diane) Gardner, Nancy Gardner, David (Chris) Gardner; sisters-in-law, Sherry Worton and Stacey Stafford; 21 nieces and nephews, 25 great nieces and nephews; and a close group of very dear friends.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents Bob and Mary Jo Gardner; husband, Stuart Paul Binger; sisters, Mary E. Gardner and JoAnne Waldrop.

In accordance with Carol’s wishes, she will be cremated, and a memorial celebration of her life will be scheduled at the convenience of her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in her memory can be made to Our House Thrift Store, 5604 S. Main St., Cedartown, GA 30125, a ministry to which Carol was deeply devoted.
