The Polk County Board of Elections closed out the fourth day of qualifying with one more spot left to fill in a local election and get the ballot just about completed for the 2021 November election.

Dickie Gazaway will be seeking one of three Aragon City Council seats up for the ballot. That leaves just one spot left to fill after Council Member Daniel Johnson qualified to seek a new term on the city council earlier in the week.

The municipal elections will at least see the incumbents from most of the city positions continue onward without opposition, with exception of the Ward 1 Rockmart City Council race. All incumbents in the Cedartown City Commission have qualified as well.

Qualifying wraps up tomorrow. Those interested can find out more information here.

Check back for additional updates as they become available Friday.
