Mrs. Carolyn Redden Parr

Mrs. Carolyn Redden Parr, age 80 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025.  

She was born on February 5, 1945 in Cave Spring, Georgia.  She was the daughter of the late John and Sara Lee Redden. 

Mrs. Parr is survived by her husband, Don Parr; son, Greg White; step-daughters, Vicki Morrow (Josh), Heather Leachman (John) and Gina Greer (David); grandchildren, Talitha Hight (Nick), April McGinnis (Doug), Robert Leachman (Morgan), Makensie Leachman, Stone Morrow, Eli Morrow, Isaac Morrow and Mason Morrow; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family members. 

Mrs. Parr is preceded in death by her parents; son, Barry Allen White; sister, Edith Threadgill; and brothers, James Redden and John Redden, Jr.   

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Parr will be held on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at three o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan McElhaney officiating.  Interment will follow in the family lot of the city of Cave Spring Cemetery. 

The family of Mrs. Parr will receive family and friends on Sunday, February 9, 2025 from one o’clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home. 

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: John Leachman, Robert Leachman, Josh Morrow, David Greer, Wesley Ballard, and Matthew Ballard.

Mr. Johnny “Mike” Whitfield

Mr. Johnny “Mike” Whitfield, age 77, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026.  

He was born on March 27, 1948. He was the son of the late John Parker Whitfield and Edith Ann Whitfield Willingham. 

Mr. Whitfield is survived by his son, Brian Whitfield and several other extended family members. 

Mr. Whitfield is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Renee Willingham Whitfield and brother, Howard Glenn Whitfield. 

A graveside service for Mr. Whitfield will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the family lot in Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating.
