Charles Eric Wheeler

Mr. Charles Eric Wheeler, age 61, of Piedmont, AL, passed away suddenly Sunday March 1, 2026.

Mr. Wheeler was born February 22, 1960, in Dallas, GA, the son of the late Danny Charles Wheeler and the late Margaret Ann Hayes Wheeler. Eric was known as a loving and dedicated father, husband, brother, and friend. He loved his family and loved being outdoors–especially hunting and fishing. His family will always remember his gentle kindness and unconditional love.

Mr. Wheeler is preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his loving children, Brett Wheeler (Stephanie) and Danny Wheeler (Cherokee); his loving companion of many years, Myra Wheeler; brother, Patrick Wheeler; sister, Kim Fosmore; grandchildren, Elijah Page and Laylen Wheeler; and special aunt, Janice Haley. 

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Wheeler will be cremated.

Larry “Bushwacker” Brown

Mr. Larry “Bushwacker” Brown, age 66, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026.

Larry was born in Cedartown, Georgia, to the late J.C. Brown and Betty Garrett Brown, on August 15, 1959.

He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, rarely missing a chance to cheer them on. In his free time, he found joy in the simple things—riding the back roads, singing karaoke with friends, and spending time working on cars. He also had a love for music, often picking up a guitar and playing for those around him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Jimmy Brown; nephews, Kevin Brown and Kenneth Brown; long-time friend, Jerone Jackson.

Larry is survived by his children Keith Brown (Alisha), Daniel Brown (Lindsey Reece), and Jadya Brown; twelve grandchildren; brother, Terry Brown (Diane Glover); sister-in-law, Belinda Brown. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Services for Larry “Bushwacker” Brown will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Reverend Justin Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, Piedmont, Alabama.

His family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
