Mrs. Charlotte Ann Morris Proctor, age 87, passed away, April 4, 2023.

Mrs. Proctor was born July 24, 1935, in Cartersville, Georgia, daughter of the late Jack Morris and Clara Massey Morris.

Mrs. Proctor was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church in Rome, Georgia. She worked many years for Owen’s King and Belk Department Stores.

Mrs. Proctor dedicated her life to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Proctor was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mr. Harold Eugene Proctor, Sr.

She is survived by a son, H.E. “Gene” Proctor, Jr. and his wife, Treva; three grandchildren: Tabitha Helms and her husband, Clint, Stephanie Jenkins and her husband, Josh, and Dan Proctor and his wife, Kacie; four great grandchildren: Parker Jenkins, McKenzie Proctor, Peyton Jenkins, and Brody Proctor; and two nieces.

Graveside services to celebrate her life will be held in Rome Memorial Park, 2446 Cedartown Highway, Rome, Georgia 30161 Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 11:00 AM with Dr. Clint Helms officiating.

Mr. Alan Dale “Al” Statham

Mr. Alan Dale “Al” Statham, age 64, of Aragon, GA passed away Friday afternoon, February 6, 2026.

Al was born in Rome, GA on July 24, 1961, to the late Billy Statham and Margaret Mitchell Statham. He spent his entire life in Polk County and was a graduate of Rockmart High School, Class of 1979.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing softball, but most of all, his greatest joy was watching his granddaughter play softball. He had his special place at the end of his fence where he loved watching Kiley play. He also enjoyed shooting pool with Braidyn and loved working outside.

In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his nephew, Seth Hitchcock.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kris Statham, to whom he married on March 20, 1982; his daughter, Hannah (Corey) Price; 3 grandchildren, Kiley Statham, Braidyn Statham, and Brian Bowman; his brothers, Phil (Loye) Statham, Mickey (Jerri) Statham; and his sister, Patricia (Eldon) Watts. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Statham will be Monday, February 9, 2026 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Jones officiating and eulogies given by Kiley Statham, Braiden Statham, and Mark Gray.

The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 pm until the service hour at the funeral home.
