Chelsey Marie Summerville

Chelsey Marie Summerville, 18 month old daughter of Jamie Quinton “Bo” Summerville and Savannah Marie Hamblin, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025.

Chelsey was born in Cartersville, GA, on August 8, 2023. She was a loving child who enjoyed watching PAW Patrol (Chase was her favorite), and SpongeBob SquarePants, watching wrestling, and loved dancing and music.

Chelsey was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Johnny and Jean Summerville, maternal grandfather, Gary Wayne Hamblin, and uncle, Johnny Lee “ManMan” Summerville.

Chelsey is survived by her parents, Bo Summerville and Savannah Hamblin; maternal grandmother, Lori Turner Hamblin; aunts, Kathy (Tony) Dawson, Cecily Pope, Chastity Summerville, and Sharon (Harry) Clancy; uncles, Anthony “Pooh” Summerville, and John John (Josie) Summerville. A host of cousin and extended family also survive.

Chelsey’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Monday evening, February 17, 2025, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. A private inurnment will be held in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Johnny “Mike” Whitfield

Mr. Johnny “Mike” Whitfield, age 77, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026.  

He was born on March 27, 1948. He was the son of the late John Parker Whitfield and Edith Ann Whitfield Willingham. 

Mr. Whitfield is survived by his son, Brian Whitfield and several other extended family members. 

Mr. Whitfield is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Renee Willingham Whitfield and brother, Howard Glenn Whitfield. 

A graveside service for Mr. Whitfield will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the family lot in Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating.
