Mrs. Clemmie Ruth Jackson

Mrs. Clemmie Ruth Jackson, age 103, of Taylorsville, GA, passed away Monday, November 25, 2024, at her residence.

Clemmie was born in Taylorsville on August 30, 1921, a daughter of the late John W. Williams and Lula Highfield Williams. Clemmie lived a long life filled with love, creativity, and devotion to her family.

A cherished matriarch, Clemmie was the heart of our family. Her unwavering love and support shaped the lives of all who knew her. Clemmie found joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending countless hours sewing and crafting beautiful quilts that now warm our homes and hearts. Each stitch was a testament to her creativity and the love she poured into every piece.

In addition to her passion for sewing, Clemmie had a profound love for gardening. With a green thumb, she cultivated a bountiful garden filled with fruits and vegetables. Clemmie dedicated countless hours to canning and preserving the vegetables from her garden, a true labor of love that allowed her family to savor the delicious flavors of her harvest throughout the year.

As a lifelong member of Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church, she dedicated herself to her faith and community. Until her passing, Clemmie proudly held the title of the oldest member of the congregation.

Though she has left this earthly realm, the love and lessons Clemmie shared will continue to resonate in our hearts. We are grateful and treasure the many memories we created with her and for the legacy of love she leaves behind.
