Mrs. Dorothy Sue Harvey Chappell, age 81 of Rockmart, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022.
Mrs. Chappell was born October 9, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana, daughter of the late John William Harvey and the late Nancy Brock Harvey.
She was a former employee of Integrated Products of Aragon and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Cedartown. She enjoyed reading, sewing and traveling. Mrs. Chappell loved to search genealogy and visit with family.
Survivors include three daughters, Danelia Chappell of Chattanooga, TN, Donna Wagman of Nebraska and Randy Jones of Rome; a son, Jonathan Chappell of Virginia; sister, Patricia (Daniel) Williamson of Lake Station, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Chappell will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints of Cedartown with Rev. Max Kimball officiating. Interment service will follow in the Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery of Taylorsville.

Mrs. Chappell will lie in state at the church on Wednesday prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
The family will receive friends at Freeman Harris Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 between the hours of 5:00 and 8:00 p.m.
