Dalton Dover performs on South Marble during Saturday evening gathering

The Rockmart Merchants Association hosted their first big event in front of the Rockmart History Museum on South Marble Street, bringing out all the stops for an evening of family fun and bringing Dalton Dover up onto the steps to perform.

The event, sponsored by the newly-formed organization, got out the corn hole boards, had miniature pony-drawn cart rides around the square, and more. Attendees provided those downtown merchants who stayed open with a good crowd despite Rockmart High School’s football game being moved to Saturday night.

JC’s Snack Shack food truck provide sales throughout the evening.

The Rockmart Merchants Alliance has another food truck event coming up on September 10 featuring Rudys food truck from Cedartown and Them Mixon Boys will be playing on the square.

Check back for more about that upcoming Rockmart Merchants Association event later in the week.
