Parents who have students heading off to a new school year in August better mark those calendars now for this one.
Open Houses are just a few weeks away to mark the end of summer break as educators and students alike get ready to face the 2025-26 school year. Polk School District is inviting families to come in and meet with educators, see their classrooms and schools and make sure they’re ready for classes to start back on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
Elementary schools across the district will be hosting students and parents on campus from 2 to 4 p.m., while Cedartown and Rockmart Middle will be open from 4 to 6 p.m. for parents and students.

Additionally on the 5th, Sophomore through Senior members of Rockmart and Cedartown High School will be able to pickup schedules for the start of the upcoming fall semester.
Each school will be posting times when those will be made available for pickup on social media. (Check back for an announcement here as well.)
A freshman academy at both schools have been scheduled as well. Rockmart freshmen will need to report on Tuesday, July 29. Cedartown’s new crop of ninth graders will be reporting for the mandatory session on August 4.
