Mrs. Elizabeth McCombs Johnson, age 95 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026. She was born on April 10, 1930 in Silver Creek, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Irene Fricks McCombs.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her loving husband, Herbert P. Johnson Sr.; daughter, Julie Burgdorf; sons, Chuck Johnson (Juanita) and Greg Johnson (Annette); grandchildren, Shana Burgdorf, Eric Johnson, Ryan Johnson and Ashley Daniel; great-grandchildren, Olivia Daniel, Austin Daniel, Brand Johnson, Kinley Burgdorf, Karsen Popham, Austin Leith, Brady Leith, Jace Johnson, Trevyn Smith and Chloe Smith. Several nieces, nephew and other extended family members also survive.
Mrs. Johnson is preceded in death by her parents; son, Keith Johnson; sister, Sue Carter; and brothers, Jim McCombs and Bill Winkles.
Funeral services for Mrs. Johnson will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at three o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Olin L Gammage & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Chris Moses officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Herbert P. Johnson Jr., Greg Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Jace Johnson, Raymond Johnson and Eric Johnson.
The family of Mrs. Johnson will receive family and friends on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from one o’clock in the afternoon until the service hour at the Olin L Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.
