Estelle Smith

Mrs. Estelle Smith, age 98, passed from this life into her heavenly home, Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

It is with love, gratitude, and thanksgiving for a life well lived that we celebrate the life of Estelle Smith, who was born on September 3, 1927. Estelle’s life was a beautiful testimony of unwavering faith, joyful service, and genuine love for people.

From an early age, music became one of Estelle’s greatest ministries. She traveled with evangelist Oral Roberts, sharing the message of God’s love through song. She later recorded her own gospel album, “I Sure Do Love the Lord”, a reflection of the faith that guided every part of her life.

A devoted member of Mt. Paran Church of God, Estelle faithfully served the Lord and encouraged countless people through worship, hospitality, and friendship. Her greatest passion was creating places where others could encounter God’s presence. She founded a Christian retreat in the beautiful North Georgia mountains, where family, friends, and visitors gathered for worship, fellowship, and renewal. Over the years, the retreat became a cherished place of peace, rest, and spiritual encouragement for many.

Estelle also enjoyed a successful and diverse professional career. She worked in real estate, owned a retail store, and operated a showroom at the Atlanta Merchandise Mart. Her entrepreneurial spirit, determination, and warm personality earned the respect and admiration of colleagues, customers, and friends alike.

Later in life, Estelle was blessed to marry Hosea Smith, and together they shared a wonderful marriage filled with love, laughter, faith, and companionship. During their eleven years together, they embraced life’s many blessings, traveling extensively and enjoying their golden years side by side. Their marriage was a beautiful gift, bringing each of them joy and comfort until Hosea’s passing.

Later in life, Estelle found another meaningful way to serve her community. Reflections, a local thrift store dedicated to serving families in need, was founded by Laurie Wong with the assistance of Lynnice Fuller. After her daughter, Lynnice, moved to North Georgia, Estelle, along with her lifelong friend Sarah Pass, joined Laurie and the dedicated staff at Reflections, where they faithfully volunteered and worked together for many years. Through their kindness, compassion, and generosity, they touched countless lives and brought hope to families throughout the community, leaving a lasting impact on everyone they met.

Estelle loved to travel, cherished time with family and friends, and never missed an opportunity to share her faith or offer words of encouragement. She had a welcoming spirit, a generous heart, and a remarkable gift for making everyone feel at home. Those who knew her will remember her joyful smile, her servant’s heart, her unwavering kindness, and her steadfast love for the Lord.

Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched with her music, ministry, friendship, and faithful service. Though she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in knowing that she is now in the presence of the Savior she loved and served so faithfully.

Estelle is preceded in death by her first husband, Lynn Smith; husband; Hosea Smith; mother, Daisy Watson; father, Gordon R. Watson; stepmother, Lula Watson; daughter, Patrice Smith; brothers: Edwin Watson and his wife, Dorcas, and Lee Watson and his wife, Lois.

Estelle was also preceded in death by her lifetime cherished spiritual sister, Sarah Pass.

Estelle is lovingly survived by her daughter, Lynnice Fuller and her husband, Eric; and grandson, Blake Fuller and his fiancé, Keara Duell.

Her memory will continue to inspire generations to come.
