Mr. Gary Lackey, age 65, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
Mr. Lackey was born June 27, 1960, in Cedartown, Georgia, son of Mary Vines Beatenbaugh and the late Hubert Lackey.
Mr. Lackey enjoyed the simple things in life like afternoons spent fishing, and listening to country music. He had a special appreciation for collectible cars. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his father, Mr. Lackey is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mrs. Sally Smith Lackey; daughter, Sabrina Lackey; brothers, Timmy Lackey, and Michael Lackey; and sister, Linda Mason.
Mr. Lackey is survived by his mother, Mary Vines Beatenbaugh; children: Crystal Goss and her husband, Scotty, Lee Lackey and his wife, Stacey, April Lackey, and Cindy Lackey; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; siblings: Billy Lackey, Dennis Vines, Cathy Mitchell, Barbara McCoy, and Donna Lackey; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
There are currently no formal services planned.
