Harlee Makenzie Duke, age 27, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025.
Harlee was born in Rome, GA, on September 16, 1997, daughter of Allen Duke and Janice Tackett Duke. She had lived all her life in Polk County and was homemaker.
Harlee had a love for music and a special love for her children and the Lord.
Harlee was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Margie Millican, and her grandfather, Larry C. Duke.
Harlee is survived by her children, Huntley Stone Duke and SeptymberLee Grace Wade; mother, Janice Duke; father, Allen Duke; grandmother, Jean (TJ) Matthews; brother, Drew Fuqua. Several cousins also survive.
A service to celebrate the life of Harlee will be held on Saturday afternoon, February 15, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Thompson and Rev. Michael Jack Goss officiating.
Harlee’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Bobbie M. Lumpkin, age 84, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026, following a brief illness.
Bobbie was born on February 27, 1942, in Rockmart, GA, the daughter of the late Cecil (Bud) Irwin and Cornelia Phillips Irwin. She lived all her life in Rockmart and was a graduate of Rockmart High School. She was a faithful member of Morning View Baptist Church, where she served many years as assistant pianist and taught youth classes and Vacation Bible School.
Bobbie was well known in the community for working with children. She taught at the preschool at the First Baptist Church in Rockmart from 1979 until 2002, serving as director for 12 years. After a brief retirement, Bobbie worked at the preschool at the First United Methodist Church. She was loved by all the children whose lives she touched, and they affectionately knew her as “Miss Bobbie.”
Bobbie enjoyed puzzles, shopping, and watching sporting events, especially the Atlanta Braves. She greeted everyone with a smile on her face and genuine love in her heart. She loved meeting people and visiting with her many friends. Bobbie never forgot any child she taught, and she loved reminiscing with them about their days in preschool. Above all, Bobbie loved being with her family. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, and adored her grandson, Andrew.
In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy L. Lumpkin, to whom she was married on March 1, 1958.
Survivors include her two sons, Rick Lumpkin (Pat), and Mark Lumpkin (Dena); grandson, Andrew Lumpkin; sister Carolyn Desley, sisters-in-law, Betty H. Lumpkin and Carolyn Stone (Randy), Shirley Lumpkin, and Betty Lumpkin; brother-in-law, Paul Bolstein; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lumpkin will be held on Thursday, April 16. 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Hulsey officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Lumpkin’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Wednesday evening, April 15, 2026, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Pall bearers will include Andrew Lumpkin, Rick Lumpkin, Mark Lumpkin, Allen Wilson, Alex Wilson, and JD Paramore.
