Harry Neal Holliday

Harry Neal Holliday, age 62, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday evening, March 31, 2026, at his residence.

Neal was born in Rome, GA, on February 9, 1964, son of the late Harvie A. Holliday, Sr., and Nina Carol Beatty Holliday. He had lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart and had worked with Nordic Cold Storage as a forklift driver. Neal had a passion for woodworking and loved to build furniture.

In addition to his parents, Neal was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ellen Akins Holliday, and brothers, Harold Wayne Holliday and Harvie A. Holliday, Jr.

Neal is survived by a daughter, Jessica Sanders Stiles; granddaughter, Braylee Grace Watkins; sister, Joy Holliday; sister-in-law, Deconda Holliday. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

In keeping with his wishes, Neal will be cremated and no formal services are planned at this time.

Mr. Larry “Bushwacker” Brown, age 66, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026.

Larry was born in Cedartown, Georgia, to the late J.C. Brown and Betty Garrett Brown, on August 15, 1959.

He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, rarely missing a chance to cheer them on. In his free time, he found joy in the simple things—riding the back roads, singing karaoke with friends, and spending time working on cars. He also had a love for music, often picking up a guitar and playing for those around him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Jimmy Brown; nephews, Kevin Brown and Kenneth Brown; long-time friend, Jerone Jackson.

Larry is survived by his children Keith Brown (Alisha), Daniel Brown (Lindsey Reece), and Jadya Brown; twelve grandchildren; brother, Terry Brown (Diane Glover); sister-in-law, Belinda Brown. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Services for Larry “Bushwacker” Brown will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Reverend Justin Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, Piedmont, Alabama.

His family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
