Harry Terrance “Terry” Walls

Mr. Harry Terrance “Terry” Walls Sr. of Powder Springs, GA passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025.

Terry was born in Bremen, GA on March 26, 1945 a son of the late Warner Wendell Walls and the late Evie Holland Walls.

He had lived the greater part of his life in Cobb county and retired from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development working as an Environmental Specialist. After retirement he owned Harry Walls Environmental Consulting.

He enjoyed hunting arrowheads and Civil War relics. Terry enjoyed sports including the Atlanta Braves and UGA sports. He was a former youth sports coach, was a great storyteller, loved his animals and watering his plants. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Terry was a member of the Macland Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Emily Maple and daughters, Kimberly and Kelly Ann Walls.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Ann Wilkes Walls; four sons: Harry Terrance Walls, Jr., Richard Keith Walls, Todd Ashley Walls and Jonathan Andrew Walls (Morgan); six grandchildren: Ashley Vanbuskirk (Frank), Chandler Joe Walls, Lawton Walls, Piper Reese Walls, Ford Walls and Georgia Walls; one great granddaughter, Nevaeh Vanbuskirk; brothers, Wendell Warner Walls, Hal Michael Walls and Gregory Walls. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

Floyd Earl Anderson Jr.

Floyd Earl Anderson Jr., age 70, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Monday afternoon, January 19, 2026.

Mr. Anderson was born in Cedartown, Georgia, on December 27, 1955, a son of the late Floyd Anderson, Sr. and Dorothy Faye Milam Anderson.

He spent the greater part of his life in Rockmart and was of the Baptist faith. After 36 years of dedicated service, Mr. Anderson retired from Meggitt, where he was known for his strong work ethic and loyalty. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy.  Above all, Mr. Anderson was a devoted family man who cherished time with those he loved. He had a deep love for music and found joy in playing the guitar, and in his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and the outdoors.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Anderson.

Mr. Anderson is survived by two sons, Jonathan (Cheri) Anderson, and Jesse (Jessica) Anderson; two sisters, Kathy (Larry) Grimes, and Vickie Polston; brother, Terry Shores. Eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Anderson will be held on Thursday afternoon, January 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Shores officiating.

Mr. Anderson’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Thursday from 12:00 noon until the service hour.
