Mr. Henry Williams

Mr. Henry Williams, age 89, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023.

Mr. Williams was born in Taylorsville, GA on November 20, 1933, a son of the late Benjamin Rush Williams, Sr. and Annie Lee Smalley Williams.

He had lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart and was a member of Floyd Creek Baptist.

Mr. Williams retired from General Motors after 30 years of service and was also a former Rockmart Police officer. He had a love for cars and enjoyed working on them.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Williams; sisters, Catherine Sullins, Margie Wright, Anne Eurly and Gail Fergason; and brothers, Ben Williams, Jr. and Neal Williams.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife of almost 70, Audrey Rodgers Williams, whom he married November 1, 1952; sons, David Williams of Cedartown, and Joel (Angela) Williams of Braselton, GA; grandchild, Abigail (Jonathan) Daniell. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside and interment services for Mr. Williams will be Wednesday afternoon, July 26, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. in Rockmart Memorial Gardens with Brother Melton Moss officiating.

Mr. Williams’ family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home.

John Enlow


Obituaries

Mr. John Paul Enlow, age 79 of Rockmart, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025. 

He was born on October 18, 1946 in Oxford, Mississippi.  He was the son of the late Joy M. and Ouida D. Humber Enlow.

Mr. Enlow is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Ann Akridge Enlow; sons, Gregory S. Enlow, Ryan K. Enlow, Daniel E. Enlow and Jan M. Enlow;  grandchildren, Annabel S. Enlow, Patick Enlow and Mary Enlow; and great-grandchildren, Simon Enlow, Isabella Enlow, Madison Enlow and Zander Enlow. 

Mr. Enlow is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lowell Enlow and Charles Enlow; and grandparents, Wheeler Enlow and Mable Deaton and John W. Humber and Anna V. Parsons. 

In keeping with Mr. Enlow’s wishes, he was cremated.   A memorial service will be held in the coming days.
