Humane Society Pets of the Week – February 11, 2026

Polk Today provides this weekly feature promoting dogs and cats up for adoption at the Cedartown Polk County Humane Society. Please consider providing these pets a loving home or tell those who might be interested about their availability. 

Ross

This sweet and handsome seven month old black labrador retriever puppy is loving and playful.  He weighs 25 pounds at this time and is okay with other dogs, cats and kids.  He is still a puppy so he will possibly need more housebreaking training.  He is hoping to find his furever home very soon.

As with all our dogs, Ross has been tested for heartworms, vaccinated appropriate for age, neutered, and microchipped.  Microchip registration is included in the adoption fee.  All our pets are given flea and heartworm preventatives monthly.

Rascal

This sweet boy is loving and playful.  He came to us as a stray so we don’t know a lot about him.  We think he is a black mouth cur pug mix around a year old.  Currently, he weighs thirty pounds.  So far, he seems to be okay with other dogs, cats, and kids.  We don’t know if he is housebroken.  He is hoping to find his furever home soon.
