Humane Society Pets of the Week: May 20, 2026 edition

Polk Today provides this weekly feature promoting dogs and cats up for adoption at the Cedartown Polk County Humane Society. Please consider providing these pets a loving home or tell those who might be interested about their availability. 

Jumper

Breed:  Jack Russell Terrier Mix

Age:      5 years old

Weight:  10 pounds

This little beauty is all Jack Russell.  Her name is her description – she can jump almost 6 feet high, so her new home would need a very tall fence. She is sweet and playful, and will likely thrive outside a shelter environment. Do you have a big fenced yard ?   

Jumper is housebroken and okay with other dogs and children. We are not sure how he is with cats.

As with all our dogs, Jumper has been tested for heartworms, vaccinated appropriate for age neutered, and microchipped. Microchip registration is included in the adoption fee.  All our pets are given flea and heartworm preventatives monthly.

Blackie

Breed: Jack Russell Terrier Mix

Age: 2 Years Old

Weight: 12 Pounds

This sweet girl is beautiful and playful. She is a bit nervous in the shelter but very sweet, loves belly rubs. She is hoping to find her fur ever home very soon.

Blackie is housebroken and okay with other dogs and children. We are not sure how she is with cats.
