Mr. James Ronald Tinnan

Mr. James Ronald Tinnan, age 64, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Sunday evening, December 8, 2024.

Mr. Tinnan was born in Rockmart on December 27, 1959, a son of the late James “Jimmy” Tinnan and Geneva Wigley Tinnan.

He had lived all his life in Rockmart and was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Tinnan was a retired truck driver who loved motorcycles. He collected all kind of things including knives, guns, jewelry and boots.

Mr. Tinnan cherished his time with his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tinnan was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Earl Tinnan.

Mr. Tinnan is survived by his wife, Gaynelle “Gaye” Cline Tinnan, whom he married July 5, 2002; four children, Beth Brogdon, Ellie Buchanan, Nina Goss, and Holly Woods; brother, Donald Tinnan, Alaska. Eighteen grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren along with special brothers-in-law, Deryl Everette and Geoffery Singleton, several nieces and nephews and his dog, Skittles, also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Tinnan will be held on Thursday afternoon, December 12, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Earl Wigley officiating. Interment will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens with Mr. Deryl Everette conducting graveside rites. Military rites will be conferred by the Honor Guard of Brown Wright Post 12 of the American Legion.

Mr. Tinnan’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Thursday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Logan Oliver, Deryl Everette, Adam Brogdon, Brent Oliver, Emerson Jackson, and Daelan Hulsey. Honorary pallbearers include Avery Swift, Blake Jackson, Jeremy Woods, and Mike Krawiec.

Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of the arrangements for Mr. James Ronald Tinnan.

Mr. Alan Dale “Al” Statham

Mr. Alan Dale “Al” Statham, age 64, of Aragon, GA passed away Friday afternoon, February 6, 2026.

Al was born in Rome, GA on July 24, 1961, to the late Billy Statham and Margaret Mitchell Statham. He spent his entire life in Polk County and was a graduate of Rockmart High School, Class of 1979.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing softball, but most of all, his greatest joy was watching his granddaughter play softball. He had his special place at the end of his fence where he loved watching Kiley play. He also enjoyed shooting pool with Braidyn and loved working outside.

In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his nephew, Seth Hitchcock.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kris Statham, to whom he married on March 20, 1982; his daughter, Hannah (Corey) Price; 3 grandchildren, Kiley Statham, Braidyn Statham, and Brian Bowman; his brothers, Phil (Loye) Statham, Mickey (Jerri) Statham; and his sister, Patricia (Eldon) Watts. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Statham will be Monday, February 9, 2026 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Jones officiating and eulogies given by Kiley Statham, Braiden Statham, and Mark Gray.

The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 pm until the service hour at the funeral home.
