Mr. James Wilson

Mr. James Wilson, age 69, passed away Monday, January 27, 2025.

Mr. Wilson was born November 1, 1955, in Cedartown, Georgia, a son of the late William Richard Jackson Wilson and Nancy Parham Wilson.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilson is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Rachel Wilson Rushing, and brother, Rickey Wilson.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his children: James Wilson, Jr., Jeremy Wilson and his wife, Nicole, and William Ray Cody Wilson; dearly loved grandchildren: Caitlin Thomas, Wyatt Rushing, Victoria Wilson, and Lucas Wilson; sisters: Lorie Wilson Kitchens, and Elizabeth Wilson Talley; step mother, Mary Wilson; nieces and nephews: Steven Kitchens, David Kitchens, Michael Kitchens, and Velora Welchel; life long friend, Dennis Coburn; and multiple cousins.

Arrangements are currently incomplete, and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Mr. Johnny “Mike” Whitfield

Mr. Johnny “Mike” Whitfield, age 77, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026.  

He was born on March 27, 1948. He was the son of the late John Parker Whitfield and Edith Ann Whitfield Willingham. 

Mr. Whitfield is survived by his son, Brian Whitfield and several other extended family members. 

Mr. Whitfield is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Renee Willingham Whitfield and brother, Howard Glenn Whitfield. 

A graveside service for Mr. Whitfield will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the family lot in Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating.
