Ms. Jana Leigh Crawford

Ms. Jana Leigh Crawford, age 49 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024.  

She was born on December 12, 1975 in Rome, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late James Luther and Joyce Ann Howard Crawford. 

Ms. Crawford is survived by her daughter, Joshalynn Nicole Ward; son, Kayden Jase Crawford; chosen daughter, Ansley Michelle Harris; god daughter, Johnna Renea Johnson; sister, Jeana Lynn Dunn; brother, Jamie Luther Crawford; nieces, Meka, Shanae, and Aubrey; nephews, Andrew, Cody, Zach, Tyler and Ryan; and 15 great nieces and nephews.  

Ms. Crawford is preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Robbie J. Crawford and Kelly White.  

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Crawford will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Henry White officiating. 

Interment will follow in the family lot of the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Crawford will receive family and friends on Sunday, September 8, 2024 from tweleve o’clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home. 

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Dakota Perry, Kamden Ferguson, Bryant Davis, Jr., Tyler Crawford, Cody Cheeks, Gabriel Harris, Jr., and Marcus Cheeks.  Honorary pallbearer will be Devan Penson.

Mrs. Nancy Ruth Gentry, age 78, of Adairsville, GA, passed away Monday evening, November 10, 2025.

Mrs. Gentry was born on December 26, 1946, to the late Otis Leman “Tobe” Grant and the late Lula Belle Edwards Grant.

Nancy’s working career included employment with Aragon Mills and Muzzy’s, and she later served as a medical technician at Renaissance Marquis before retiring. In her free time, she loved fishing, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her husband, Phillips H. Gentry, her daughter, Phyllis Kaye Gentry; and her 3 brothers, Billy Grant, Jerry Grant, and Jimmy Grant.

She is survived by her daughters Hope Uitermark and Stacey (Brent) Ledford; her grandchildren, Celia (Doug) Hall, Wade (Renee) Ledford, Adam (Hayley) Bell, and Erin Bell; greatgrandchildren, Kipton Hall, Harper Hall, Ava Bell, Gunner Bell, Peyton Ledford, Stryker Lewis, Jackson Higdon, and Cooper Higdon; her sister, Joyce Ward; sister-in-law Joan Paulus; brother-in-law, Jackie (Shirley) Gentry; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Nancy will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Gentry and Rev. Jesse Starnes officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday at 12:00 noon until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Brent Ledford, Wade Ledford, Adam Bell, Doug Hall, Kipton Hall, and Bobby Cartledge. Honorary pallbearers include Stryker Lewis, Gunner Bell, Ava Bell, Harper Hall, and Peyton Ledford.
