Mrs. Jane Walker Beverly

Mrs. Jane Walker Beverly, age 64, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024.

Jane was born in Gadsden, AL, on April 18, 1960, a daughter of the late Troy Lee Walker and Betty Wood Walker.

She had been a resident of Rockmart since 1985, moving here from Acworth, GA. Jane was a housewife and homemaker who loved attending her church, the House of Prayer, in Hokes Bluff, AL.

She enjoyed working in her garden and doing yard work. Jane cherished her time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Lewis and Rhonda McTaggart.

Jane is survived by her husband, Alan Beverly, whom she married on May 7, 1983; daughter, Tara (William) Ferguson; sons, Troy Beverly, Brandon Beverly, and Jonathan (Courtney) Beverly; grandchildren, Gavin Ferguson, Addison Ferguson, Sydney James, and Sheila Beverly; sisters, Reba (Jackie) Carter, and Heather (Shawn) Wright; brothers, Eric Perry and Hayden Perry. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Jane will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Chaplain Jennifer Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Rockmart Memorial Gardens.

Jane’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Troy Beverly, Brandon Beverly, Jonathan Beverly, Eric Perry, Hayden Perry, and Damian Wright.

Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Jane Walker Beverly.

Mr. Alan Dale “Al” Statham

Mr. Alan Dale “Al” Statham, age 64, of Aragon, GA passed away Friday afternoon, February 6, 2026.

Al was born in Rome, GA on July 24, 1961, to the late Billy Statham and Margaret Mitchell Statham. He spent his entire life in Polk County and was a graduate of Rockmart High School, Class of 1979.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing softball, but most of all, his greatest joy was watching his granddaughter play softball. He had his special place at the end of his fence where he loved watching Kiley play. He also enjoyed shooting pool with Braidyn and loved working outside.

In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his nephew, Seth Hitchcock.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kris Statham, to whom he married on March 20, 1982; his daughter, Hannah (Corey) Price; 3 grandchildren, Kiley Statham, Braidyn Statham, and Brian Bowman; his brothers, Phil (Loye) Statham, Mickey (Jerri) Statham; and his sister, Patricia (Eldon) Watts. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Statham will be Monday, February 9, 2026 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Jones officiating and eulogies given by Kiley Statham, Braiden Statham, and Mark Gray.

The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 pm until the service hour at the funeral home.
