Jimmy Larry Garrett Sr., age 72, of Byron, GA, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024.
Larry was born in Rockmart, GA, on January 19, 1952, a son of Myrtle Lee Garrett and the late Tony M. Garrett.
He had lived his childhood years in Rockmart and had been a resident of Byron for the past fifteen years.
Larry was a self-employed floor covering installer and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his father, Larry was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Ballard, and two brothers, Tonny Lee Garrett and Leonard Garrett.
Larry is survived by a son, Jimmy Larry Garrett, Jr.; mother, Myrtle Garrett; sister, Sherry (Sam) Dunwoody; two brothers, Denny Garrett and David (Vickie) Garrett. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Larry will be held on Wednesday afternoon, October 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Davidson officiating.
Larry’s family will receive friends Wednesday at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until the service hour.
