Mr. John Calvin Jarvis Jr., age 63, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday morning, February 25, 2025.
John was born in Marietta, GA, on December 20, 1961, a son of the late John Calvin Jarvis, Sr. and Barbara Jean Woodson Jarvis.
He had lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart and was a floor covering installer. John attended Morning View Baptist Church and never met a stranger. He was an accomplished song writer and singer who had a love for music and playing his guitar.
John always loved spending time with family and friends and loved people.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Jarvis.

John is survived by three daughters, Tonya Jarvis, April (Jason) Hulsey, and Janet Jarvis; grandchildren, Devon Hopkins, Cody Hopkins, Haley Jarrell, Ashley Harrell, Heather Jarrell, Brandy O’Neal, Jacob O’Neal, Zachary O’Neal, Dalota O’Neal and Jaxon Hulsey; great-grandchildren, Emory Hopkins, Novaleigh Prime, Kyleigh Dorsey and Kinzlee Dorsey’ brother, Patrick (Kim) Jarvis; sister, Jean Burks. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for John will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Patrick Jarvis and Donald Lester officiating.
John’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Saturday from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be made to the Grace Neema Ministries in John’s memory.
