Mr. Joseph Hubert Bright

Mr. Joseph Hubert Bright, age 77, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Monday afternoon, June 8, 2026, at his residence.

Hubert was born in Van Wert, GA, on June 6, 1949, son of the late Willie H. Bright and Lorene Bishop Bright. He had lived the greater part of his life in Rockmart and was of the Baptist faith. Hubert was a truck driver who enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR racing.

In addition to his parents, Hubert was preceded in death by two brothers, David Bright and Timmy Bright, a sister, Joanie Forrister, and a granddaughter, Tesla Cheyene Bright.

Hubert is survived by two daughters, Amy Vincent and Wendy Ratliff; son, Joseph Bright; sisters, Mary Lyles, Elizabeth Ward, Joyce Garcia, and Lucy Gomez; brother, Johnny Bright. Seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside and interment services for Hubert will be held on Friday afternoon, June 12, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at Wimberly Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating.

Hubert’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home on Friday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will include Bill Witt, Matthew Bright, Zackery Ratliff, Paul Ratliff, Miguel Lara and Joe Cano.

Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to serve the family of Mr. Joseph Hubert Bright.
