Kacy Stewart Wilson

Kacy Stewart Wilson, age 53, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

Kacy was born in Rockmart, GA, on November 17, 1971, a son of Travis Wilson, Jr., and Tommie Stamey Wilson.

He grew up in Rockmart and was a 1990 graduate of Rockmart High School. Kacy has lived in Cedartown for the past 14 years and was employed at Cedar Valley Golf Course.

Kacy was a hardworking, honorable man with a huge loving heart. He loved golf, hunting, fishing and baseball.

Kacy is survived by a daughter, Breanna Wilson; three sons, Rylee Wilson, Chanley Wilson and Trenton Rittenhouse; parents, Travis and Tommie Wilson; three brothers, Ronnie (Kara) Wilson, Terry (Kerri) Wilson, and Brent Wilson (Lisa Lankford). Kacy also had many nieces and nephews that he loved and cherished deeply. 

Memorial services for Kacy will be held on Monday afternoon, December 2, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Privett officiating.

Following the service, friends are invited to gather at the home of Brent Wilson, 18 Rabbit Trail, Cedartown, GA.

Mrs. Julie Anne Taylor

Mrs. Julie Anne Taylor, age 72, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday January 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. 

Mrs. Taylor was born July 1, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of the late Julian Rodriguez Ruiz and the late Clara Martinez Ruiz.

From an early age, Mrs. Taylor showed tremendous talent at sewing and made a living as a gifted seamstress throughout the course of her life. Children brought her such joy and she loved taking care of them. Mrs. Taylor will forever be remembered for her tender care and devotion to children during her time with the Boys and Girls Club in both Rome and Cedartown. Children likewise loved her right back and stayed in touch with her.

She will always be remembered as a beacon for her family, a motherly figure that her family could always turn to; she was always there for her family and friends and showed them unconditional love and support and her family and friends will never forget her tender love. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Taylor, and her siblings, Richard Ruiz and Julian Rodriguez Ruiz, Jr.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her loving children, David Snell (Sandra), Daniel Snell (Kathy), Teresa Snell (Todd Womack), Tossa Taylor (Mary), Sarah Ellison (Gary), and Charmin Lanagan; siblings, Thomas Ruiz, Margaret Schenkel, and Suzie Deleon; grandchildren, Jacob, Ayrianna, Alysha, Nicholas, Destiny, Jaden, Tyler, Erica, Mitchell, Christina, S.J., Carter, Jimmy, Mikayla, Bethany, A.J., and Raelyn; and 12 loving great-grandchildren. 

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Taylor will be cremated and a memorial service will be conducted Friday January 16, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with eulogies being given by her family and friends. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at 12:00 p.m. Immediately following the service, the family will dismiss to Cross Point Church, located at 4949 GA 101 Aragon, GA 30104, to have a meal and fellowship. All are invited to join the family for fellowship at the church following the service.
