Mrs. Kathleen Virginia Kay

Mrs. Kathleen Virginia Kay, age 91, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday morning, August 5, 2025.

Mrs. Kay was born on September 10, 1933, in West Point, MS, the daughter of the late Vincent Brady Gray and Minnie Ora Petty Gray.

She lived in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and later made her home in Venice/Palmetto, FL. where she lived for over 36 years. During her time in Venice, she worked at the Venice Yacht Club for more than 20 years.

For the past 15 years, Mrs. Kay had been a resident of Rockmart and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She deeply cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kay was preceded in death by her husband Edward Charles Kay and six siblings. Helen Ora Mathews, Willie (Bo) Mae Gurecki, Vincent Brady Gray Jr, Mary (Tiny) Etta Gray, Mary Frances Lubas, Dorothy Viola Tarbutton, and grandson Ryan Krusch.

Mrs. Kay is survived by three children, Kevin (Debbie) Kay, Edward (Janine) Kay and Keith Kay. Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews also survive.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Kay will be cremated, and memorial arrangements are incomplete at this time.
