Mr. Keith Allan Johnson, age 70, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.  

He was born on June 16, 1955.  He was the son of Herbert P. and Elizabeth McCombs Johnson, Sr. 

Mr. Johnson is survived by his parents; daughter, Ashley Daniel (Alan); sister, Julie Burgdorf; brothers, Chuck Johnson (Juanita) and Greg Johnson (Annette); grandchildren, Olivia Daniel and Austin Daniel; loving ex-wife, Merry Johnson; niece and nephews, Shana Burgdorf, Eric Johnson and Ryan Johnson (Linsey) and special friend, Cindy Crocker. 

A graveside service for Mr. Johnson will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 12:30 pm in the family lot of Northview Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Hulsey officiating. 

The family of Mr. Johnson will receive family and friends on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from eleven o’clock in the morning until twelve o’clock in the afternoon at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Obituaries

Mr. Larry “Bushwacker” Brown, age 66, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026.

Larry was born in Cedartown, Georgia, to the late J.C. Brown and Betty Garrett Brown, on August 15, 1959.

He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, rarely missing a chance to cheer them on. In his free time, he found joy in the simple things—riding the back roads, singing karaoke with friends, and spending time working on cars. He also had a love for music, often picking up a guitar and playing for those around him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Jimmy Brown; nephews, Kevin Brown and Kenneth Brown; long-time friend, Jerone Jackson.

Larry is survived by his children Keith Brown (Alisha), Daniel Brown (Lindsey Reece), and Jadya Brown; twelve grandchildren; brother, Terry Brown (Diane Glover); sister-in-law, Belinda Brown. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Services for Larry “Bushwacker” Brown will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Reverend Justin Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, Piedmont, Alabama.

His family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
