Kickball Tournament and Fun Day planned for July 25 in Rockmart

Nathan Dean Park is set to host a Kickball Tournament and Fun Day ahead of the return to school later this month, and organizers are seeking help for sponsors and donations to ensure kids are getting back to the classroom with all they need.

Latosha McClure is leading the way in organizing the event planned for noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 25.

Along with the kickball tournament, free food and drink for youth, family fun actitivies and a handout of school supplies at the end of the event.

McClure is seeking the community’s help with volunteer opportunities, sponsorships and donations of school supplies. Those interested can reach out to her directly at 678-791-5018.

Supply donations are needed by no later than July 20 for those who are willing to help, McClure said.

Food truck vendors are also encouraged to reach out as well.
