Larry Strickland

Mr. Larry Strickland, age 70, of Falkville, AL, formerly of Cedartown, passed away December 18, 2025. 

Mr. Strickland was born November 23, 1955, the son of the late Mr. Loyd Strickland and the late Mrs. Katie Mae Miller Strickland.

Larry enjoyed a lifelong hobby of tending to horses. He loved training them, breaking them, and riding them. Horses were always special to him and he loved being around them. Larry also loved painting tractors and enjoying time outdoors.

He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and he served the Lord as a faithful member of New Harmony Baptist Church. His family will always cherish his memory and pass his legacy on for generations to come.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Strickland is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Cathy Hayes Strickland; his brother, Wayne Strickland; and his sister, Linda West.

Mr. Strickland is survived by his loving children, Larry Strickland, Jr. (Teresa), Jamie Strickland (Amy), and Rebekah Strickland; granddaughter, Megan Strickland (Joshua Brown); brother, Delmar Strickland; and sister, Carolyn Lee.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Strickland was cremated and a graveside inurnment service will be conducted Saturday December 27 at 1:00 p.m. in the family lot of Northview Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Dewayne New officiating.
