Mrs. Linda D. Williams, age 85, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 14, 2026.
Linda was born in Cedartown, Georgia, on August 23, 1940, the daughter of the late Lumus Dingler, Sr., and Mary Barry Dingler.
Linda found great joy in working on crafts and traveling, always appreciating the beauty of new places and the simple pleasures of life. Above all, she treasured the love of her family and friends. Her greatest happiness came from being a devoted mother and grandmother, and she cherished every moment spent with those she loved.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Julie Wilkes, and two brothers, Lumus Dingler, Jr., and Bobby Dingler.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Jimmy Williams, a daughter, Denise Thomas (Ken); two sons, Timmy Langston (Rosie), and Randy Langston (Christie); a stepdaughter, Debra Turrell (George); and four siblings, Wanda Dingler Dawson (Charlie), Billy Dingler (Joan), Johnny Dingler (Judy), and Ronnie Dingler (Lisa). Ten grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Linda will be held on Friday, July 17th, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with the eulogy delivered by Mr. Ken Thomas and poems read by Angela Ruff and Denise Thomas. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens,
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 17th, 2026, at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the service hour.
Pallbearers will include Chris Langston, Caleb Langston, George Turrell, Agatha Wilkes, Abby Johnson, and Sam Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will include Cody Langston and Tyler Langston.
