Mr. Lumus Dingler Jr.

Mr. Lumus Dingler Jr. age 93, of Weaver, AL, passed away Friday March 21, 2025 at his residence.

Mr. Dingler was born September 19, 1931 to the late Lumus Dingler, Sr. and the late Mary Ettta Barry.

Mr. Dingler served his country with honor with the United States Air Force, reaching the rank of Tech Sergeant.

He retired from the Air Force after 20 years, serving in Vietnam and the Korean Conflict. After an honorable retirement from the military, Mr. Dingler found himself serving the public for an additional 22 years at Sonny King Ford.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Dingler is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Newton Dingler.

Mr. Dingler is survived by his loving wife of over 70 years, Mrs. Wylene Kight Dingler; sons, Richard Earnest Dingler and Dennis Allen Dingler; siblings, Billy Wayne Dingler, Johnny Sterling Dingler, Ronnie James Dingler, Mary Linda Williams, and Wanda Louise Dawson; 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside services for Mr. Dingler will be conducted Sunday March 23, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Northview Cemetery with Rev. Randy Hayes officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the graveside from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Litesey Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnny “Mike” Whitfield

Mr. Johnny “Mike” Whitfield, age 77, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026.  

He was born on March 27, 1948. He was the son of the late John Parker Whitfield and Edith Ann Whitfield Willingham. 

Mr. Whitfield is survived by his son, Brian Whitfield and several other extended family members. 

Mr. Whitfield is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Renee Willingham Whitfield and brother, Howard Glenn Whitfield. 

A graveside service for Mr. Whitfield will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the family lot in Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating.
