Marcus David “Grubb” Warren

Marcus David “Grubb” Warren, 65, of Taylorsville, Georgia, passed away on August 3, 2026. He was born on August 11, 1960.

Marcus was preceded in death by his father, John “Allison” Warren, his beloved grandparents, Dan and Lena Roberson, and his paternal grandparents, Eva Warren and Jesse Warren.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother, Kay Warren; the mother of his children, Lynn Fincher; and his four daughters: Sherrie Ford of Buchanan, Georgia; Lindsey (Scott) Saghy of Augusta, Georgia; Allie Warren of Cartersville, Georgia; and Jessica (Johnathan) Shaw of Statesboro, Georgia.

Marcus was a proud grandfather and is survived by his cherished grandchildren: Madison (Adam) Carr, Austin Ford, Kaden Saghy, Ansley Ford, Andrew Ford, Mason Hall, Jackson Saghy, Aaron Ford, Sawyer Shaw, Owen Saghy, Cohen Fraiser, Sadie Shaw, Lillian Saghy, and Ellis Fraiser. He is also survived by his future great-grandson arriving in November , Graham Carr. His grandchildren brought him immense pride and joy.

Marcus dedicated many years of his life to working as a lineman for Georgia Power. Among his coworkers and crew, he was affectionately known as “Grubb.” He was respected for his hard work, dependability, and the friendships he built throughout his career.

Marcus will be remembered for the love he had for his family, the life he built through hard work, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A private graveside funeral service will be held for the family.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
