Mary Treglown

Mrs. Mary N. Treglown, age 95, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Monday, August 3, 20226, at her residence, surrounded by her beloved family.

Mrs. Treglown was born February 27, 1931, the daughter of the late Casper Wister Nickels and the late Bessie Caroline Cochran.

She was a devoted family matron and dedicated her entire life to taking care of her family. From an early age, she exemplified hard work as a mill worker for Weaver in Lindale, a career lasting her 45 years until her retirement. Her family always looked up to her and enjoyed spending time with her. In her retirement, she enjoyed watching old TV shows, especially The Andy Griffith Show.

A gifted seamstress, she was also known her for her fine sewing and embroidery work, making some of the finest quilts her family had ever seen. Above all, she loved her Lord and attended The Grace Place church in Cedartwon for a number of years. Her faith was always present to her; she even slept with the Word of God underneath her pillow every night. Her family will love, miss, and remember her always.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Treglown is preceded in death by her sons, Thomas Allen Treglown and Lannie Eugene Treglown; as well as one brother and two sisters. 

Mrs. Treglown is survived by her beloved son, Mark Treglown (Teresa); grandchildren, Mickey Treglown, and Jessica Burnette (Doug); great-grandchildren, Bailey Treglown (Ashley), Benjamin McClain, and Justin Burnette; great-great-grandchildren, Mattie Treglown, Gracie Treglown, Sallie Treglown, and Ava Little; as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Graveside services to honor Mrs. Treglown’s life will be conducted Thursday August 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the fmialy lot of the Aragon Cemetery with Pastor Justin Grant officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as Pallbearers: Mickey Treglown, Bailey Treglown, Benjamin McClain, Drew McClain, Dough Burnette, and Justin Burnette.
