Mrs. Mattie L. O’Tinger Mauldin

Mrs. Mattie L. O’Tinger Mauldin, age 90 of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. She was born on May 25, 1933 in Alabama.

She was the daughter of the late Christopher Columbus and Hattie Magnolia Hamilton O’Tinger.

Mrs. Mauldin is survived by her daughters, Sylvia June Boling, Shirley Jean Mauldin, and Sheila Joan Clemmons; sister, Gennett Rowland; grandchildren, Jaimin Mauldin, Anna Anderson, Tera Parsons, Bradley Boling, Denna Boling, Shae Barnett, Erin English, William Wright, Jr., and LaGina Coleston; 19 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Mauldin is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hubert Mauldin; son, Jimmy Wayne Mauldin; and 14 brothers and sisters.

The funeral service for Mrs. Mauldin will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at eleven o’clock in the morning from the chapel of Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Mauldin will receive family and friends on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from six o’clock in the evening until eight o’clock in the evening at Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Gene English, Jerry O’Tinger, William Childerss, Alexander Wright, Austin Wright, Brady Boling, Eric Barnett, Aubrey Mauldin.

Mr. Johnny “Mike” Whitfield

Mr. Johnny “Mike” Whitfield, age 77, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026.  

He was born on March 27, 1948. He was the son of the late John Parker Whitfield and Edith Ann Whitfield Willingham. 

Mr. Whitfield is survived by his son, Brian Whitfield and several other extended family members. 

Mr. Whitfield is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Renee Willingham Whitfield and brother, Howard Glenn Whitfield. 

A graveside service for Mr. Whitfield will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026 at two o’clock in the afternoon in the family lot in Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Danny Tucker officiating.
