Mr. Elmer Bowen, age 88, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Tuesday afternoon, July 7, 2020.
He was born on October 24, 1931 in Polk County, Georgia the son of the late James Bowen and the late Flora Rudeseal Bowen. He was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Mr. Bowen was a United States Veteran, having served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement he had worked for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Smith Bowen; his daughter and son in law, Michelle Bowen Ingram and Jody Ingram; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A host of other relatives also survive.
Mr. Bowen’s wishes were to be cremated and no formal services are planned at this time.
