Mr. Elmer Dyer

Mr. Elmer Rayford Dyer, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Saturday afternoon, June 20, 2020.

Rayford Dyer was born on February 25, 1935 in Floyd County, Georgia the son of the late Curtis Eugene Dyer and the late Eva Jewell Dyer. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a sister, Myrna Dyer Knowles. He was a U.S. Veteran proudly serving in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was retired from the United States Post Office following many, many dedicated years of service.

Rayford Dyer is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Knight Dyer; son, Edwin Ray Dyer; sister Eva Jean Dyer Chandler. Nephews, nieces and other relatives also survive.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Dyer was cremated and a Memorial Graveside and Interment service will be held at a later date.

The family respectfully ask that flowers please be omitted and memorial donations be made to: First Presbyterian Church, 346 W. John hand Rd., Cedartwon, Georgia 30125.
