Mr. Gary Wayne Womack

Mr. Gary Wayne Womack, age 59, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021.  He was born on March 1, 1962 in Cedartown. 

Gary dedicated his life to his family and love for his grandkids.

Mr. Womack is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tina Horton Womack; sons, Chad Womack (Crystal) and Craig Womack (Chelsi); grandchildren, Cayson, Holden, Carter, and baby Cohen; mother, Rachel Osborne; siblings, Butch Womack, Rhonda Wheeler, Mickey Womack, Kristi Medley and Steve Osborne; several nieces and nephews; and little dog Abby.   

Mr. Womack is preceded in death by his father, William Howard Womack, Sr.; and grandmother, Edna Watson.  

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Gary Wayne Womack will be held on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at seven o’clock in the evening in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Kermit Pruitt officiating.  In keeping with Mr. Womack’s wishes’ he will be cremated after the funeral service.  

The family of Mr. Womack will receive family and friends on Sunday, August 29, 2021 from five o’clock in the evening until the funeral service hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nancy Ruth Gentry, age 78, of Adairsville, GA, passed away Monday evening, November 10, 2025.

Mrs. Gentry was born on December 26, 1946, to the late Otis Leman “Tobe” Grant and the late Lula Belle Edwards Grant.

Nancy’s working career included employment with Aragon Mills and Muzzy’s, and she later served as a medical technician at Renaissance Marquis before retiring. In her free time, she loved fishing, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her husband, Phillips H. Gentry, her daughter, Phyllis Kaye Gentry; and her 3 brothers, Billy Grant, Jerry Grant, and Jimmy Grant.

She is survived by her daughters Hope Uitermark and Stacey (Brent) Ledford; her grandchildren, Celia (Doug) Hall, Wade (Renee) Ledford, Adam (Hayley) Bell, and Erin Bell; greatgrandchildren, Kipton Hall, Harper Hall, Ava Bell, Gunner Bell, Peyton Ledford, Stryker Lewis, Jackson Higdon, and Cooper Higdon; her sister, Joyce Ward; sister-in-law Joan Paulus; brother-in-law, Jackie (Shirley) Gentry; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Nancy will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Gentry and Rev. Jesse Starnes officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday at 12:00 noon until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Brent Ledford, Wade Ledford, Adam Bell, Doug Hall, Kipton Hall, and Bobby Cartledge. Honorary pallbearers include Stryker Lewis, Gunner Bell, Ava Bell, Harper Hall, and Peyton Ledford.
