Mrs. Gail W. Barnes Fergason

Mrs. Gail W. Barnes Fergason, age 81, of Rockmart, GA passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021.

Gail was born in Taylorsville, GA on August 30, 1930, a daughter of the late Benjamin Rush Williams and the late Annie Lee Smalley Williams. Polk County was home for Gail the greater part of her life. Her childhood years were in Taylorsville where she was a graduate of Taylorsville High School.

The last nine months of her life, Gail made Yarbrough Road her home where she lived with her niece, Jill and Tony Robinson and great-niece Anne-Marie. She was a member of Floyd Creek Baptist Church, was a member of the Womens Club in Rockmart, and was a former member of the Antique Car Club of Rockmart.

During her working career, Gail worked for Aragon Mill, the Bank of Taylorsville, Trend Mills, Zartic Manufacturing, and Murata.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Bobby Donald Barnes and E.C. Sonny Fergason; three brothers: Walter Williams, Ben Williams, and Neal Williams; and three sisters: Margie Wright, Catherine Sullins, and Anne Williams.

Survivors include her brother, Henry Williams and his wife, Audrey, Rockmart; niece, Jill Robinson and her husband, Tony, Aragon; great-niece, Anne-Marie Robinson, Aragon; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside funeral and interment services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 11:00 am at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Don Spears officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at the funeral home.
