Mrs. Lois Schneider

Mrs. Lois Schneider, age 92 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away Saturday September 12, 2020.

Mrs. Schneider was born April 22, 1928 in Cedartown Georgia to the Late Thomas Noah & Bessie Ann Cater and was also preceded in death by her husband Adam C. Schneider Jr. Lois worked for many years along side of her daughter at McBrayer Furniture in Cedartown and was a member of the Eastern Star and The B&PW club also was a member of the Worldview Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughter Clair & Danny Nichols, Grandson Adam & Wendy Nichols and two great granddaughters Ashly & Kaylee Nichols.

A private services is planed at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton Georgia at a later date and time.

Mrs. Eva Ruth Gibson Short

Mrs. Eva Ruth Gibson Short, age 82, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025.

She was born on February 19, 1943 in Cherokee, Alabama.  She was the daughter of the late John Hubert and Eula Adell Lockridge Gibson. 

Mrs. Short is survived by her sons, John Short (Mary) and Brad Short; grandchildren, Matt Bridges, Kayla Bridges, Katie Swafford (Drew) and Emma Hellriegel (Jake); great-grandchildren, Josie, Bo, Ella Ruth and Case Swafford and Chloe Hellriegel and nieces and nephews; and several other extended family members. 

Mrs. Short is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry Edward Short; daughter, Karen Denise Short Bridges; sisters, Louise Liner and Mary Frances Corn and brothers, Herbert Gibson and Wayne Gibson. 

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Short will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at one o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Camp officiating.  Interment will follow in the family lot of Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.   

The family of Mrs. Short will receive family and friends on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from eleven o’clock in the morning until the funeral service hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Bill Short, Sam Short, Dennis Alexander, Drew Swafford, Jake Hellriegel, Zack Alexander and Jay Liner.
