Mrs. Sylvia L. Lawrence, age 87 of Cedartown, Georgia passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020.

Mrs. Lawrence was born on October 10, 1932, in Cherokee, Alabama to the late George Thomas & Dessa McMichen Osborne. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard  Seals Lawrence, Brothers and sisters Flora Osborne Smith, John Thomas Osborne, Jossie Osborne Whorton, Ralph Osborne, Bernice Osborne Prewett, Paul Osborne and Juanita Osborne Brooks

Surviving are Daughters Debra Massy and Holly Lawrence, Grandson Rue Massey and a number of Nieces and Nephews also surviving.

A graveside services for Sylvia Lawrence will be held Saturday July 25, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery with Mr. Bobby Brooks officiating. The family will receive friend Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the Lester Litesey Funeral Home. The family has asked that flowers please be omitted and donation made in her honor to a charity of your choice.

Mrs. Nancy Ruth Gentry, age 78, of Adairsville, GA, passed away Monday evening, November 10, 2025.

Mrs. Gentry was born on December 26, 1946, to the late Otis Leman “Tobe” Grant and the late Lula Belle Edwards Grant.

Nancy’s working career included employment with Aragon Mills and Muzzy’s, and she later served as a medical technician at Renaissance Marquis before retiring. In her free time, she loved fishing, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren, who were the joy of her life.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by her husband, Phillips H. Gentry, her daughter, Phyllis Kaye Gentry; and her 3 brothers, Billy Grant, Jerry Grant, and Jimmy Grant.

She is survived by her daughters Hope Uitermark and Stacey (Brent) Ledford; her grandchildren, Celia (Doug) Hall, Wade (Renee) Ledford, Adam (Hayley) Bell, and Erin Bell; greatgrandchildren, Kipton Hall, Harper Hall, Ava Bell, Gunner Bell, Peyton Ledford, Stryker Lewis, Jackson Higdon, and Cooper Higdon; her sister, Joyce Ward; sister-in-law Joan Paulus; brother-in-law, Jackie (Shirley) Gentry; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Nancy will be held Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Gentry and Rev. Jesse Starnes officiating. Interment will follow in the Taylorsville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday at 12:00 noon until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Brent Ledford, Wade Ledford, Adam Bell, Doug Hall, Kipton Hall, and Bobby Cartledge. Honorary pallbearers include Stryker Lewis, Gunner Bell, Ava Bell, Harper Hall, and Peyton Ledford.
