Mrs. Tammy Lynn Brewer

Mrs. Tammy Lynn Brewer, age 50, of Buchanan, GA, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2021.

She was born on September 9, 1970 in Rockmart, GA, to her parents; Jimmy Shoemaker and Annette Kay Dunn Shoemaker. Tammy spent the greater part of her life in Haralson County and was a faithful member of Felton Baptist Church.

Mrs. Brewer enjoyed coloring, playing with her grandchildren, and a great cup of coffee. Tammy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Brewer was preceded in death by her sister, Stacy Carter.

Tammy is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Brewer of Buchanan, GA, daughters: Renee Agan and her husband, Jesse of Aragon, GA, Denise Gallimore of Buchanan, GA, parents: Jimmy and Annette Shoemaker of Buchanan, GA, sister, Charity Agan and her husband, T.J. of Buchanan, GA, 6 grandchildren: Trent, Trace, Cassidy, Brentley, Emma and Tayden.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Brewer will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Dunn and Rev. Steven Swift officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be the following gentlemen: Joel Beck, Bear Bear Wilson, Brad Carter, Todd Cash, Jesse Agan and Trace Agan. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Mike Barker, William Brewer, Little Jesse Rogers and Robert Hunt.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Mr. Charles D. “Chuck” Hise

Mr. Charles D. “Chuck” Hise, age 60, of Cedartown, GA, passed away Sunday evening, April 12, 2026.

Chuck was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, on October 4, 1965 and had made his home in Rockmart for the past 16 years.

Chuck was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in cycling, fly fishing, riding motorcycles, and horseback riding. He also had a fascination with astronomy and a deep love for animals. Known for his warm spirit, Chuck never passed up a good latte or the chance to share a classic “dad joke,” bringing smiles to those around him.

Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved dog, Ellie.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Libby Hise, whom he married September 6, 1986; three children, Brandon Hise (Linzi), Meagan Brannon (Taylor), and Lauren Williams (Jeff); five grandchildren, Caroline, Kai, Fin, Kase, and Andy; and parents, Charles and Joanne Hise.

Funeral services for Chuck will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Little officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

Chuck’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home Friday evening, April 17, 2026, between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.

Pallbearers will include Brandon Hise, Jeff Williams, Taylor Brannon, Greg Knight, Jake Knight, and Brantley Nelson. Chuck’s grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Red Clay Ranch Equine Rescue and Sanctuary, 364 Parker Road, Lyerly, GA 30730 in memory of Mr. Hise.
