Mrs. Patricia Ann Plemons

Mrs. Patricia Ann Plemons, age 86, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Wednesday morning, March 11, 2026.

Mrs. Plemons was born in Rockmart on July 30, 1939, the daughter of the late Edward Nicholson and Margaret Lee Nicholson. She was a high school graduate of Rockmart High School and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Plemons had a love for motocross and spent many years enjoying time at the motocross track. She was also a devoted fan of Little League baseball and enjoyed supporting local youth sports throughout the years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Plemons was preceded in death by her husband, Wade Plemons, and a son, Scott Carroll.

Mrs. Plemons is survived by a son, Chris Carroll; and a grandson Austyn Carroll.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Plemons will be cremated, and no formal services will be held at this time.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Rockmart Nursing and Rehab for the special care that was given to Mrs. Plemons.

Obituaries

Mr. Larry “Bushwacker” Brown, age 66, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026.

Larry was born in Cedartown, Georgia, to the late J.C. Brown and Betty Garrett Brown, on August 15, 1959.

He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, rarely missing a chance to cheer them on. In his free time, he found joy in the simple things—riding the back roads, singing karaoke with friends, and spending time working on cars. He also had a love for music, often picking up a guitar and playing for those around him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Jimmy Brown; nephews, Kevin Brown and Kenneth Brown; long-time friend, Jerone Jackson.

Larry is survived by his children Keith Brown (Alisha), Daniel Brown (Lindsey Reece), and Jadya Brown; twelve grandchildren; brother, Terry Brown (Diane Glover); sister-in-law, Belinda Brown. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Services for Larry “Bushwacker” Brown will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Smith & Miller Funeral Home, with Reverend Justin Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, Piedmont, Alabama.

His family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Smith & Miller Funeral Home.
