Mrs. Peggy Joyce Mann Burnley

Mrs. Peggy Joyce Mann Burnley, age 84 of Rockmart, passed away peacefully at Floyd Medical Center, surrounded by family on Saturday, New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2022.

Mrs. Burnley was born May 26, 1938 in Polk County, daughter of the late James Oscar Mann and the late Eunice Wilson Mann.

She started her working career at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in Rockmart where she was proud to have worked on several of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloons. Goodyear later became Engineered Fabrics and she retired with 34 years of service.

Wherever her beloved “Ed” was leading a choir, she faithfully followed and helped alongside him for 17 years with the Polk County Senior Choir. She was a member of High Shoals Baptist Church of Dallas. Peggy will be remembered for her sweet spirit and kind words.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Mann; son-in-law, Jerry Robinson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gene and Ola Burnley; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Kenneth Ray Carter and Ray and Frances Burnley.
