Mrs. Regina Rose Gentry

Mrs. Regina Rose Gentry, age 56, of Rockmart, GA, passed away Friday morning, August 1, 2025.

Regina was born on September 19, 1968, in Rome, GA, the beloved daughter of Rosetta “Rose” Hembree Hindmon and the late Rudy Hindmon.

A lifelong resident of Rockmart, Regina graduated from Rockmart High School in 1986. She dedicated her life to her family as a devoted housewife and homemaker and found joy and fellowship as a member of Hills Creek Baptist Church.

Regina generously gave her time as a volunteer for Relay For Life and the American Cancer Society, causes close to her heart. She had a passion for travel, poetry, and photography—capturing life’s beauty in words and images. Above all, Regina cherished every moment spent with her family and her church family.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kind heart, creative spirit, and unwavering love for those around her.

Regina is survived by her husband, Timmy Gentry, whom she married January 25, 1998; sons, Andrew Johnson, and Dylan Brookshire; mother, Rosetta “Rose” Hindmon; sister, Clarissa (Keith) Crowley; brother, Chris (Rebecca) Hindmon; nieces and nephews, Kayla, Stephanie, Emma, Emily, and Deacon. Four great-nieces, one great-nephew along with several aunts and uncles also survive.

Funeral services for Regina will be held on Sunday afternoon, August 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the Hills Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Tibbitts and Rev. Colt Deems officiating. Interment will follow in Hills Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Regina’s family will receive friends at Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home on Saturday evening, August 2, 2025, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will include Kyle Buffington, Dylon Buffington, Doug Hindmon, Tyler “T-Mack” Morgan, Luke Woodward, Shane Hembree, and Daniel Hembree.

Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Regina Rose Gentry.

Mr. Alan Dale “Al” Statham

Mr. Alan Dale “Al” Statham, age 64, of Aragon, GA passed away Friday afternoon, February 6, 2026.

Al was born in Rome, GA on July 24, 1961, to the late Billy Statham and Margaret Mitchell Statham. He spent his entire life in Polk County and was a graduate of Rockmart High School, Class of 1979.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing softball, but most of all, his greatest joy was watching his granddaughter play softball. He had his special place at the end of his fence where he loved watching Kiley play. He also enjoyed shooting pool with Braidyn and loved working outside.

In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his nephew, Seth Hitchcock.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kris Statham, to whom he married on March 20, 1982; his daughter, Hannah (Corey) Price; 3 grandchildren, Kiley Statham, Braidyn Statham, and Brian Bowman; his brothers, Phil (Loye) Statham, Mickey (Jerri) Statham; and his sister, Patricia (Eldon) Watts. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Statham will be Monday, February 9, 2026 at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Jones officiating and eulogies given by Kiley Statham, Braiden Statham, and Mark Gray.

The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 pm until the service hour at the funeral home.
