Thanksgiving Day meal also an opportunity for local residents to volunteer

Feeding those who don’t have a chance to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal is one reason why Remix at Moore’s will be hosting a turkey day meal next Thursday.

The event being held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. will include a meal for those in need, and those who are willing to help out will be needed to serve and provide some food as well.

“We want to encourage anyone that just wants some company on Thanksgiving and a hot meal to come join us,” Owner Lindsey Hutcheson King said.

King is asking that those who want to take part can deliver food that is ready to eat by Wednesday, November 23. Those who want to volunteer, please email ahead at remixatmoore@gmail.com.

She said she’s hoping that someone might be willing to donate a ham, and additional sides to go along with the annual Thanksgiving feast.

Additionally, they will be delivering to those folks who are shut-ins or can’t get out for physical reasons to enjoy Thanksgiving. They ask that those who need delivery please email or call Remix at Moore’s at 678-988-4735.

This year’s event is being held in partnership with Girl Scout Troop 13399.

Remix at Moore’s is located at 402 Main St., Cedartown.
