Rev. Robert Kitchens

Rev. Robert Mitchell Kitchens, age 69, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026.  He was born on September 25, 1956 in Cedartown.  He was the son of the late Wilton Wilford and Burlean Strickland Kitchens. 

Mr. Kitchens is survived by his sister, Sandra Kitchens Grow; brothers, Eddie E. Kitchens (Angie) and Randy W. Kitchens; sister-in-law, Lorie Kitchens; nieces and nephews, Kim Kitchens, Steven Kitchens, David Kitchens, Michael Kitchens, Velora Welchel, Amber Sexton and Cody Grow and several great-nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Kitchens is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Kitchens; brothers, Dennis Kitchens, James Kitchens and Steve Kitchens and nephew, Brad Kitchens. 

The funeral service for Mr. Kitchens will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at five o’clock in the evening at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 844 Pleasant Hill Road, Rockmart, GA 30153, with Rev. Roger Parris officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.  

The family of Mr. Kitchens will receive family and friends on Thursday, April 23, 2026 from three o’clock in the afternoon until the funeral service hour at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. 

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Steven Kitchens, David Kitchens, Michael Kitchens, Caleb Kitchens, Tony Welchel and Cory Sexton.
